Moved house, cats legged it!

Help! Moved house a week ago, was keeping cats in for a fortnight as they've always been House cats and my daft long haired cat has made a run for it and disappeared. What the hell do I do?

Go out looking for her, she's probably not gone far.

NancyDonahue · 18/08/2017 19:32

Alert the neighbours. Have you moved far?

fuzzywuzzy · 18/08/2017 19:35

If she doesn't return by tonight go back to your old neighbourhood shaking treats and calling her?

I envision doing this when we move soon! Hope she comes home of her own accord soon.

Try standing outside shaking treats and calling for her, sometimes that works on ours. But mostly I see him look at me and utterly ignore me! But then our cat's a little shit.

We moved 30 miles away. I went out shaking treats in the rain, could hear him howling for Britain and he'd managed to get stuck behind a fence. One ruined pair of shoes, few scratches and a very dirty carpet and the little sods back where he should be!

Bloody hell nothing like adding stress to the move. Glad he's back!

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/08/2017 20:13

Oh good he's back. At least he doesn't go stealth when stuck like mine does.

NancyDonahue · 18/08/2017 20:14

Glad he's back 👍

I kept Ivy cat in for 6 weeks and she still legged it.

Someone on here suggested I put her litter tray outside and she came back.

Worth a try?
