Nervous about letting her out

My lovely 13yr old female was in her first fight at the weekend. Ended up with a patch of fur about the size of a £2 coin ripped out and an abscess following what must have been a bite.
She's had an antibiotic injection and is very nervy now.
My instinct is to keep her in at night from now on as the woman over the road has 13 cats. I think as my cat is getting on, she's probably more vulnerable. But she always used to love being out at night.
Am I right to keep her in?

Sorry to hear about your girl but I think all cats should be kept in at night, for their own safety because of foxes, other cats and being more likely to be hit by a car.
I like my own boy in for darkness, except in mid winter when it's dark at 5pm and even then I like him in as early as possible.
