My cat chews cardboard???

She bites it off and flicks it. Why?

Don't know - probably a texture thing. Our cats do the same. The current AwkwardCat absolutely loves her corrugated cardboard scratcher too. Shreds the hell out of it, bits of cardboard everywhere.

I don't think I've met a cat that doesn't. I have a few with a weird fetish for plastic bags too.

RedCat always does this too - he cannot pass a box without popping in to do some chewing. Here he is lying down contemplating his next cardboard conquest

Mine loves cardboard, bags and also the protective plastic cover on a library book.
We have keep them in a cupboard.

Mine likes cayenne pepper and stable cat eats anything she isn't meant to Thai salmon, subway cookies, leek soup, risotto, pasta....
At least you don't want the cardboard unlike my nice expensive piece of Thai salmon that got swiped by a speedy paw

Yep, mine loves cardboard, plastic bags and underlay!

Fatty likes plastic. Especially shiny sweet wrappers. I've fished a few out of her mouth and then been on anxious litter tray watch when she did swallow one. The look on her face when she realised it wasn't a good idea was hilarious. Also ad to chase her around the house to stop her eating a plastic strip of an envelope. She was unimpressed when I pulled it out of her mouth.

blue does the chew cardboard and also shreds newspapers with his teeth and decorates the room for us , dont know why its just something he does the others dont do it
