Very clingy cat

I've had my two cats, sisters, since they were six weeks old. One has always been more independent than the other, while one is slightly clingier. I'm a teacher and we travel every school holiday but my parents adore my cats and come in to feed, play, change litter 2-3 times daily when we are away.

Four weeks ago we went on holiday for ten days and since we came back my clingy kitty has amped it up to a ridiculous level. I absolutely adore her and love my cuddles but I feel like the mother of a toddler - she cries in the hall if I shower or pee without her observing! She wants to be petted and held 24/7 and becomes upset if I put her in a separate room, which I only ever do for 20 minutes or so while we eat.

Since coming home we have laid two new carpets and decorated the kitchen, as well as buying some new furniture. My vet thinks this is the cause and as she seems otherwise healthy just to see how it goes as she has an appointment in two weeks for her annual needles and checkup anyway.

Any advice on how to help her relax again? And take a shower alone? 😩😂🙈

Tried that feliway stuff?

Try pet remedy. I found it much more effective that feliway. One of mine was very clingy when she came back from the cattery. I loved it. She's gone back to normal now and I miss being followed around the house

Give up and cuddle her 24/7 she will soon settle down Smile
