Worming

I have been googling away, and just looking for confirmation/opinions.

We did the cats wormers this morning, about 3 hours ago. Always use drontal tablets. Anyhow Lennon has been sick, I couldn't see the tablet in there, so I think it has been absorbed. What time frames have people been told when it comes to administering the tablet, being sick and the then the need to give more wormer in a couple of days? Everything I have read says less than 2 and half and 3 hours, do it again, obviously if you see the tablet, redo it. What have others been told?

I would say he's absorbed it within 3 hours - a human would've absorbed meds within that time, and our metabolisms are faster. Maybe just bring his next one forward a bit, so in 6 weeks time instead of 3 months? I know some people worm once a month if their cat's a prolific hunter.

This is why I changed to spot ons, (Profender). I was never completely sure they'd swallowed the tablet. Little M got clever at stashing the pill in his mouth, then spitting it out. Even after he'd licked his nose.

Good idea, his not a prolific hunter, but he does hunt, doesn't always eat what he catches, but it does mean he needs doing. He gets so excited when the treats come out you put some down in front of him, put the tablet down and he hoovers everything up in his way, silly cat.
