Cat has worms

Today I saw worms by my cats arse. Took the vet and he has worms. I worm the two of them every time the vet texts (they text to pick up flea and worm treatments when due)

So far all of the beds have been changed. All cushion covers. Everything has been steam cleaned that can be.

Cats have been re wormed.

Is this enough so that we don't catch worms from the cats?

How can one of them still have developed worms if I have wormed and flea'd every month for fleas and every time vet said for worms?

Any advice welcome!

Snap - no advice but discovered my poor cat has the same problem this evening. Am mortified but she regularly gets her worming tablet from the vet which I thought was supposed to stop her from getting them. Vet first thing tomorrow but any advice anyone on insuring they don't infect anyone else.

Hope your cat's ok OP and that they didn't spread any further...
