Just watched posh pets and now I want a sphynx kitten.

Anybody got one? What are they like? I have a Ragdoll, would they mix well?

I don't own one but know a couple of people who do. They are high maintenance cats. They need to be bathed very regularly and have their ears cleaned out. They also leave greasy little cat shaped residue marks on furniture and bed sheets, apparently. I don't think I could personally buy an animal that had been bred for such extreme features (some don't have any whiskers Sad) even though I think they are very cute and seem to have adorable personalities. I feel similarly about very flat-faced Persians and exotics (and pug dogs etc). I can totally see the appeal but don't think I would ever buy one.

Ugh I think they are really creepy looking!

Having nursed a spinxcat at work I love them but they aren't very strokey iyswim.

Don't be fooled into thinking that they are hypoallergenic either

The one time I met one I reacted really badly to it. I've heard it's fairly common for allergic people to buy them and get an unpleasant surprise and have to rehome/return them.
