Is piriton syrup safe for cats?

The vet said it was fine to give Fatty and Snorg 1/2 a piriton tablet as I suspected they both have hayfever. I've only given them 1/4 of a tablet each but it's really helped. But trying to get it down them is difficult. Lik e lix works for Fatty but Snorg who needs it more won't touch it! Is it safe to use the kids syrup? They both take liquid very well. It would also enable more accurate dosing as it 1/4 are tiny.

I'm not sure about the syrup, but piriton is very easy to crush (I used the bottom of a bottle of foundation Blush ) and then easy to mix with anything. Water or cat milk maybe? Maybe salmon oil 🤔? I'm mean and mixed it with valerian so it smelt awesome (to a cat) but tasted terrible (I'm guessing, from the faces he pulled). I used a craft knife to cut it up. He was so dopey I didn't try it again!

I would ask first.

I might try mixing it in salmon oil although they've gone off that!
