Magnetic cat flap

Does anyone have anything good to say about these?

I can't really stretch to the Sureflap at the moment but have the option of a bargainous Staywell magnetic flap. Have an existing Staywell 4-way catflap and cat has never lost his collar.

My only concern is that he likes to sit beside the flap (outside and inside) for extended periods. Will this send the mechanism beserk?

Oh and none of the neighbourhood intruder cats have magnetic fobs on their collars!

I'm fairly confident neither will be getting a magnetic flap in the near future Grin

We had one many years ago for our cat. It would click once when he was near enough to set it off, or if the battery was low (it had an intermittent beep when it did, to warn you. It was fine. Only problem was if he lost his collar. Dcats 2 and 3 have been in a rented house so no catflap.
