What litter?

We've been using Sanica color fresh from Pets at home which isn't too smelly, but it's expensive and probably not great for the environment.
His breeder used Tesco value which stunk to high heaven.
So what's the best?

Wood pelllets from Pets at Home. £5.40 for a 30L sack and it doesn't smell at all. The only problem is that when wet is turns to sawdust and can stick to paws so you get sawdust tracks around the house.
