Bloody summer stop-outs

No sign of Big Ginge at all today. I hate the summer when they basically feel free to sod off and worry us.

Have been out with the food bowl and DH has been for a drive to see if he can spot him - no luck at all

So when did you last have eyeball on him?

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 09/07/2017 16:03

Last night - very late when DH came up to bed I think.

I've got the same problem here with my two ginger boys. Hadn't seen one of them for nearly two days although did hear the cat flap go once during the night so thought one had possibly come home to eat.

I went to walk along the woodland path that they seem to frequent and spoke to a neighbour whose house backs onto the path and whose shed roof seems to be a magnet for them (luckily she's a cat lover!) She hadn't seen them either and we started to chat about what a worry they were. She then started to laugh and said "look behind you" and there they were, sitting in a straight line watching and listening to me moan on about them! They then followed me home, had two mouthfuls of food and buggered straight off again and I haven't seen them again since Smile

I'm sure your boy will return. I always have this in the summer when it is hot but I still can't stop worrying about them.

DH just went out with the kids - Bug Ginge is curled up fast asleep in next door's front garden. The little bugger!

😀😀 So pleased he's home and you can stop worrying now. Honestly, why do we worry about the little buggers so much! One of mine has just shown up as well. How could I be cross with this fella?

Sparklingcat has been a complete nightmare in this warm weather. Can't seem to get her in at night and when she finally appears she's yowing to go out again at 3am.

She's booked in for a dental tomorrow morning. No food after 8pm tonight and keep her in til the vets at 9am.

Should be fun. Hmm

Yes I hate cat festival season, although I reckon it is probably just good training for the dc in the mid-later teenage years. Even dgirlcat who generally is one of those who likes to lurk indoors, barely sets foot outside for six months of the year and has to be chucked out to get some exercise becomes evasive around dusk and won't come in.

cat festival season GrinGrinGrin

I adore the phrase Cat Festival Season!!!!!! ( I read ALL the MN cat stuff - even though Puddy died 25 May, as I have withdrawal symptoms :-/ Who can ever resist cat threads?!!!!! )

Weedsnseeds1 · 09/07/2017 22:13

It's killing season here, so every time I see him trotting into the house, my eyes go straight to his mouth....

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 09/07/2017 22:16

We removed a blackbird and a mouse from the patio this morning. They are killing at least three things a week. Little fuckers.

I feel your pain.
Love the description of cat festival. My 2 girls drift in & out with their fur coats & Hunter wellies. Very inconsiderate. But I love, love, love them.
