Cattery or cat sitter

Going away for 3 weeks, is this too long to leave my much adored babies with a cat sitter. They're not prone to wandering off and will also be well looked after by everyone else in the road I should think!

Well that us away on the first part of our journey (Manchester) and we fly to Spain tomorrow. The cat sitter visited around 6pm and will be back tomorrow so this will be their first night alone in the house. Hope they will be ok and not get lonely or trash the place or crap everywhere. Im missing them already Sad

My cat sitter and her boyfriend stay in the house ( obviously go to work during the day) and I pay £20 a day. She always tries to give the money back as she enjoys getting out from future MIL house! My boy likes her and she will give flea treatment / worming tablets if due, groom him and play with him. Money well spent. She's a friend's early 20s daughter and worked at a cattery as a weekend/ holiday job when at school.

Cattery, I wouldn't be able to relax and enjoy my holiday otherwise. We have found an excellent one and she has been going since she was a kitten. She is always happy and content when we pick her up.

Well that's one week of our holiday gone. The cat sitter sends photos every couple of days and says they are fine. She's keeping them inside as the one time she tried letting them out one was tricky to get back in again. My mum, 2 brothers and my nephew went to visit them today too so hope they enjoyed a wee bit extra company. Missing the wee guys and i know they are missing the outside world but needs must I suppose.

It won't kill them to stay in.

Apparently mines eating well & enjoying his sheepskin hammock.

I've tried a couple of cateries but have settled on a cat sitter visiting twice a day. Mine prefer their own home and the cat sitter sends regular text and photos of how they are getting on. In fact they are traitors - I said they will probably hide when you call, the next thing is I'm getting photos of them sat on her knee and lying around being groomed! I also like the additional security of someone coming and checking on the house.

I get to see my boys again tomorrow evening. Hope they are not grumpy with us for being away. Cat sitter seems to have got on well with them and she sends photos every couple of days. Will be glad to be back
