When do you actually start feeding them in the same room?

My two have been at the cattery for the past week. I know they have fed them together as they are in the same swanky chalet. One is 16 weeks the other 13 months. The baby has been eating in my bedroom (flat) and its made not a jot of differencecas the big one breaks the door open and they both swap food. I hate the bsmell. They will be disciplined to twice a day wet feeding 9 and 6 and id quite like to carry this on and id quite like to feed them in the same room. Ive bought Wainwrights kitten and cat food theres not much difference between the two and ive bought a platform feeder so ones abit higher up. Can it be done?

Yes mine both eat and drink from the same bowls. I've tried separate ones but they still share. Same for litter tray.

Mine are the same as Toddler's - share the same bowls even when there's 2 out, have never used the second litter tray that's on offer. I've even caught Girlcat covering up Boycat's somewhat ineffective poo covering without needing to go herself.

Is there an age gap?

Mine are litter brother & sister. But I don't think there is any real problem with them getting at each other's food really, there's nothing harmful to either age in either type - I think it's just to do with helping with growth for the kitten food.

I think you're over thinking. You can always give them both kitten food if you're worried.

I did from day one, I didn't realise it wasn't ideal. I gave the kitten her wet food and the adults got a little adult wet food at the same time and had access to dry all day.

Im not going to worry about it anymore its just the vet said she needed her own food and i dont want the other one getting overweight.

You can get an 'all life stages' or 'cat and kitten' from some of the naice companies.

Yes ive seen the Orijen one on Zooplus im waiting for it to come back into stock on Zooplus. Gosh ive missed them both i cant wait to pick them up.

I rushed and ordered two microchip feeders when Fattycat was on soft food because of her jaw. And I didn't want Snorg to have it all the time. I couldn't get the hang of teaching them how to use them. Let alone the brainless cat's! Sold well on eBay though!
