I'm moving house next weekend but got the keys early so spending the evenings moving my smaller items across (house is on the same complex about 20m away from current house) before the furniture gets moved on Saturday. Two cats being naturally nosy following me across which is fine as they have explored the new house and approve Grin It's a townhouse with parking on the ground floor, external steps at the front to the front door and a balcony at the rear with a spiral staircase/fire escape type thing.

Shifted a load of things over last night, locked up new house (leaving one cat on back balcony) and went home. No sign of said cat this morning so went over to new house panicking in case I'd locked her in but oh no, there was bimbo cat where I'd left her - absolutely frantic and obviously incapable of navigating a spiral staircase Hmm

How this cat has reached 11 years of age I'll never fathom, absolutely nowt between the ears Grin

Grin

Mine is too. He jumped out of the bedroom window on to the roof of the bay window below last night (about 4 feet at the most) - then couldn't remember how to jump back up. I had to climb out of the bloody window at 0500 to get him back in as he was yowling and keeping us all awake.

I bet he wasn't even remotely grateful Sidge, more like 'What the hell took you so long?'

I once had to rescue my (now deceased) boycat from a balcony of an empty house; it was a very risky operation involving ladders and climbing. He'd been there all night and once I got him down he just ran home and did the Simon's Cat hungry 'pointing at mouth' thing. Didn't care that I was covered in scratches, the little bugger Grin

Of course he wasn't, the bugger just shook his backside at me, then ran off to eat Hmm
