Very affectionate cat

Hi all - my 11 year old cat has started being very affectionate over the past two weeks. She's never been aloof or standoffish, she's always been happy to sit on a lap and have a cuddle, but now she is pestering me to stroke her and rubbing her face against any bit of me she can reach, and purring at the mere sight of me. As far as I can tell she is okay in all other regards, and drinking enough in the hot weather - can anyone offer any wisdom, please? TIA

Hmm by any chance your not pregnant are you op? It's not unheard of for,cats to act this way around pregnant women. Apologies if not

Really? Doubtful due to fertility issues, but there is a chance I suppose? I was wondering if it was the heat affecting her.

Sorry op that may have been insensitive to say out right, I've read it somewhere and seen ,it's ofmcats acting like that on you tube around their female owners.

Changes in the home can effect animals just like it can effect children, anything changed recently your end ?
