My cat has just come in and attacked me! I was just laying in bed and he jumped onto it and his tail was wagging aggressively then next thing is he jumped on me and took a chunk out of my arm!!! Totally out of the blue, WTF was going through his mind? Little shit Sad

One of ours does that occasionally - sometimes it's just her being hyper, but most of the time we did something small/barely noticeable that got her attention, like tapping or hiding fingers. Or dangly hair, reflections from lights, etc.

I wasn't doing anything no twindling things or anything, I was engrossed in the programme. He basically just jumped on the bed then jumped on me!!!! He really dug claws and teeth in and I had to mop up the blood, it really hurt. Maybe he'd just had an argument with his girlfriend and took it out on me Hmm he didn't get his bed time dreamies tonight!

Could he have seen another cat in the garden through the window been unable to get at it and used you to vent his anger?

ClaudiaNaughton · 26/06/2017 07:03

Were you slow in getting his breakfast organised?

OliviaStabler · 26/06/2017 12:24

I was engrossed in the programme.

That's it. You were ignoring him Wink

Wolfiefan · 26/06/2017 12:25

Just come in? From outside? Maybe he was halfway through a cat fight?
How old? Neutered?

DudeHatesHisCarryOut · 26/06/2017 15:12

It's just part of the training schedule. Or punishment for random past or future misdemeanors.

Am HORRIFIED you skipped the bedtime Dreamies though, that really is asking for further punishment!!!

ladybird69 · 27/06/2017 02:09

It was bedtime he'd had his supper and was nearly time for his bed time dreamies! He'd been out 'playing ' for a couple of hours!
He's 100% neutered 8+ cat rescued. He does insist on spraying absolutely everywhere and everything even me! Angry AngryAngry Bloody all my rescue cats have had problems.
He's behaving himself today but I don't want to feel wary of him. I'm not getting any younger.

I sympathise, I started a similar thread about my current foster. This is the first cat I have ever been even slightly afraid of (except my mother's psychotic devil cat that she had when I was a child). The last cat I owned was pretty unfriendly, but not randomly violent. I am really wary of this one, even though she is tiny. She bites hard and draws blood, with no warning. I think she needs to get outside and lose some of her frustrations and energy but she needs to get adopted for that to happen. I don't have any suggestions but I feel for you, it's no laughing matter.
