Just having last minute nerves about booking my girl in for a dental.
We've had to get her hyperthyroidism back under control and the vet had concerns over some of her blood levels, all except for one have gone back to normal range now hyperthyroidismT4 is controlled under. She does have a decayed tooth and what looks to be lots of limescale to me. She's managing to eat. However, last week the vet picked up she had a heart murmur (I know this is common with hyperthyroidism but it's the first time anyone had mentioned it during the six times she's been checked since being diagnosed). The vet is willing to operate but has pointed out there's an increased risk as, if the heart murmur is recent, it could be down to an aging heart. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Also, if you've put your cat through a dental, how long did it take for them to recover?
