My cat is missing

My dear cat has been missing now for three months. I've searched high and low for her, walked around every road and field, posted missing posters, notified all possible people - cat protection, the council (in case her body had been fond), vets, etc and nothing.

It's awful not having any closure on where she may have gone. She wasn't very friendly so wouldn't have moved home - she simply didn't come in for her lunch one day. It's just the not knowing.

I'm so sorry, I didn't want to read this and not comment as I know from experience how upsetting this is, we lost our cat over a year ago and I still think about her now, one night she went out and in the morning she hadn't come home. We felt a real grief when we lost her, and I almost felt that I wasn't entitled to be as upset as I was or that we weren't entitled to look as hard as we did for her, as she was 'only a cat.' For us she was and still is a member of our family. I still hope that one day she comes home.

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope you find closure soon x

Thank you everyone. It's so hard telling family as so many say 'oh I'm sure she will come home soon, she's just out hunting'.

It's such an awful feeling when they go missing. It's heartbreaking. Sorry that you're going through this.

You've probably already tried this site for missing and found pets, but thought it worth mentioning. You never know.
