Sainsburys Ultra Clumping Cat Litter

Hello,

Does anyone here use Sainsburys Ultra Clumping cat litter? Have you found that it is soooo bad lately?? The last few bags I have bought have made such a mess in the tray and doesn’t even make clumps now!!

Can anyone recommend me a really good clumping cat litter that actually works? Something similar to the ultra clumping which is abit like sand?

I use intersand classic. It's usually great and has no smell, but I've noticed that the last couple of bags haven't controlled the smell as well. It still clumps well though.

I went right off the Sainsbury's one when it started to be scented, and have switched to the Waitrose version, which is pretty good.

With the Waitrose one does it clump really well? I'm so sick of the sainsburys one! I need to find another good one.....

Cats best by okoplus is the best cat litter ever. Clumps perfectly and absolutely I smells from it. It is more expensive but you only need to do a full change every 6 weeks. You scoop dirty bits out daily and add fresh litter to he gap. Then every 6 weeks change the lot.

I don't do that as I've only just realised that is what you are supposed to do after 11 years of using it . I scoop daily and change whole after 2 weeks and it's fine.

It really is amazing. And you can put dirty bits down the loo!!

Sanicat Clumping Gold is good, as is Worlds Best, all from Zooplus. You can compost it as well.

oh really! where can i buy Okoplus from?

i tried Sanicat gold, but didn't think it was as good as the Sainsburys one (when it was good) but it probably is better than that now!

I second cats best by Okoplus. I bought a HUGE bag from zooplus for something like £23. I didn't realise how big the bag was until it arrives but I wouldn't be surprised if it worked out cheaper than buying smaller quantities of other litter brands/types. Either way it's a fantastic cat litter and definitely worth it for the reasons stated above.

Although I often have to clean out the litter tray more than every 6 weeks because my kitten can be a messy little sod!
