How to increase Malfoy's appetite?

Hi lovely Mumsnetters - now that Malfoy's home and his feeding tube has been removed a week after his op he has lost a little weight and we need to interest him even more in eating properly again.

Any tips most welcome please TIA

When Harry broke his jaw the vet gave him Hills AD, which is for recuperating cats. I didn't think he would eat it as he was a biscuit freak but he loved it. We use it now if he needs painkillers or antibiotics and he always eats the lot.

I'm glad he's home and I hope he's doing well.

I asked for some Mirtazipine for Magic. I only gave her one as once I stopped tube feeding she started eating. So pleased he's cancer free and recovered.

Would he drink Royal Canin recovery milk? That's what I was tube feeding her.

Yes Mirtazapine as an appetite stimulant, there is another appetite stimulant but I can't remember the name of it.
If he's not restricted on what food he can have the smellier the better and warmed up too. Boiled chicken or turkey breast is useful!

Vinorosso Thanks, she is feeding him warmed up food - he's eaten some salmon and she's cooking him chicken tonight. I'm back home with them on Tuesday night when she goes back to work after a week off so it'll be up to me and DP to make sure he eats.

Salmon and chicken, he's got her well trained!!

Toddler Indeed he has lol (don't all cats have their owners 'well trained'?) but she says he really isn't eating as much as he should be eg with his normal food he eats all the gravy and leaves the meat!
