Advice please - cat been sick and not eating or drinking

Hi,
Just wanted a bit of advice. My 5-year old cat is not eating or drinking at all today (she is normally hassling us all day for food so the not eating is very worrying). She had been sick this morning - looked like mostly undigested food, but quite a large quantity of it (sorry if that's tmi!). She had also been sick yesterday morning, but I put that down to a hairball - she was eating etc yesterday too.
She has been out all day, just sitting in the bushes in the front garden. I have taken food and water out to her but she is not interested. I have just been out to stroke her and she is making a strange noise, a bit like a whine/growl - obviously wants to be left alone.
I am worried as I know some neighbours have put out bait for rats (not sure what type) and I don't know if she has eaten some of it or eaten a contaminated animal.
Should I bring her in the house? And should I take her to the emergency vet tonight or leave it overnight and see how she is in the morning? Don't know if I am overreacting. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks

The growly whine could be an indication of pain - has she been to the toilet? I'd bring her in so you can monitor her better and also check she's moving ok - could she have been clipped by a car or argued with another car or a dog?
She needs checking over

How about ringing the vet to see what they say? Sounds like she's not very happy, poor thing. Think I'd want the vet's opinion rather than just wait til tomorrow.

I have brought her in, she is not happy. Not sure if she has been to the toilet - she has unrestricted use of a cat flap and doesn't use her litter tray. The cat flap is now locked though. Think I will phone the vet. No obvious sign of being hit by a car or fighting. She is usually pretty sociable.

she needs to go to the vet urgently-being sick and not eating combined wit the 'growling' means she is in pain.

My cat was like this and it turned out to be constipation. She had an enema then was hunky dory after if not feeling a little violated probably I'd keep an eye and take her to the vets if she shows no improvement by tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice. I took her to the emergency vet - nothing broken, no obvious fight wounds, stomach okay. She did have a high temp though, which the vet thought was likely due to an infection, so she has had a shot of antibiotics and we are keeping an eye on her.

My cat was growling when he was in pain after being bitten during a fight. Didn't find the bite til next day when he'd been licking at it & some fur was missing.
Hopefully whatever caused it will clear up with the antibiotics. Hope she's ok again by morning.

Glad it seems like nothing major! I hope the anti biotics perk her up Flowers
