Handhold, waiting for vet

Just need a handhold. Vet due in 2.5hours to put my old cat to sleep. The fire is lit. The other two cats and I are holding vigil but I still feel alone. There were no possible earlier appointments even if I took her in and she doesn't need that stress.

Thank you. She went on her own terms, an hour before the vet was due to arrive. I am kind of glad. The house feels emptier already.

This sums up the way I feel right now.
Had to say goodbye to my girl on Tuesday. I found her laid on the neighbour's garden unable to move her back legs 😢
Rushed her to the vets and there was nothing they could do, spinal injury and likely internal injuries too, so I had to let her go. She was only 6.
Hugs to you OP, it's very hard. Take comfort in the fact that you were there at the end.
I have another cat and a dog, but it still feels like something is missing.
