Cat hasn't come home again :-(

Hi, I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about my little boy cat that had gone missing, he then turned up after a couple of days hungry and a bit stressed.
All was fine after that, he was his usual self pottering about and sleeping in with the dcs until Wednesday morning... he hasn't been home since!

It's been suggested to me that sometimes people take in cats as if they're theirs, and may have been feeding him and could have now shut him indoors. Is this a thing? Do people really do that? This is nearly 5 days he hasn't been around and not in any of his favourite haunts or come to see us or his sisters :-( or come home for food or a cuddle. I tried to be calm as he turned up so soon last time but now I'm so worried!

I'm not surprised you're worried. I haven't heard of such a thing happening. Is he microchipped? Hope he comes home soon. I take it you've been out & about looking and calling for him. They can be such a nightmare.

Mine went missing for 8 days and really stuck close to home. Anyway the past few weeks he's been wanting to be outside a lot more, suspect it's with the weather being nicer

Did you keep him in after he went missing before? Is he neutered?
Try putting a used litter tray outside as they can smell it for miles.

He is chipped and neutered, he stayed in for a day or so after last time stayed near us then went back out and carried on his usual routine. He was always in the front or back garden and in for his meals and naps as usual. I couldn't keep him in it wouldn't be fair to him.

Still no sign of him I've called and looked everywhere put his photo on local Facebook pages and going to print off some posters to put up round the area :-(

I was just wondering if he was back. Sorry there's still no sign of him. Let's hope he comes home today. He might actually have another home somewhere else.

outnumbered4 · 08/05/2017 10:33

That's what I'm worried about, if he is going somewhere else it could only have been for the last 3 weeks or so as he has never even been away for a few hours before this he's always either at home or on the garden, if I call him he's there straight away :-(

If someone else has been feeding him and taken him in how do I get him back? He's our cat and we miss him :-(

Just to update my little boy came home this morning! Again very hungry and thirsty and looks thinner, I'm starting to think he might just like a good adventure sometimes! He's currently eating everything in sight and being very spoilt with cuddles :-)

Glad to hear it. Naughty boy!

Wolfiefan · 10/05/2017 18:53

I'm glad he's home. He's grounded though! I would keep him in for at least a week if he's going to make a habit of this.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/05/2017 19:30

Do you think he's getting trapped in?.

Want2beme · 10/05/2017 21:06

Yay! That's great news. You need to put a tracker on him & see what he gets up to.
