Cat stopped nursing kittens

Litter of 4, 2 of each, 7 weeks old eating kitten food, Mum has seeningly just stopped nursing them, ive just noticed today theyve not fed off her at all, is it normal or should it be more gradual? Or am i being a wittler Grin

She may be weening them off.I believe this can happen, as kittens mostly need her milk for up to 4 weeks - someone might correct me on that. Is the mother eating enough herself? Is she well? If not, then she might need a vet check up.You can give kitten solid food with shop kitten milk.

That's normal at 7 weeks if I'm remembering correctly. When we had a litter she was very strict with them at one point but then she'd give in a few days later until she got fed up and refused them completely.

Oh shes eating like a horse but was is looking a bit scraggy tbh, maybe shes thinking enough! Youre taking too much out of me

Poor love probably needs a holiday! All you can do is keep an eye on her. She knows what she's doing.

Yes they are little monkeys (everywhere atm weve got a large dog cage to kerp them in at night) one looks just like mummy (white with tabby patches) tabby full black and black and white , 2 of each aswell x
