Right guys, some of you might know of my beautiful rescue cat named Opal (you helped me pick the name!)

She (obviously) leaves a lot of hair. I brush her every couple of days&bought salmon oil as well....

Any other tips?

Thanks!

Collect it and knit it into another small kitten? :)

Yet brilliant!

No practical advise, sorry. Having suffered from this for many years, I have plenty of brown packing tape in to wipe the hairs from my clothes and coats and a lot of hoovering! It's a pain and I yearn for hair-free days, but that ain't gonna happen any time soon. Good luck.

Can I hoover her?

No thanks@YetAnotherSpartacus, one kitten is MORE than enough😂😂😂

Get a metal comb and a dog grooming rake. I brush my Persians every couple of days with a children's tangle teezer then with the comb once a week. Do t bother with a furminator as they are an expensive waste of money. Keep the fluffy back leg trousers short and get a hygiene trim from the vet. I have found a brilliant professional groomer who gives them a going over a couple of times a year.

If they get knots that they won't tolerate me dealing with, I pop along to the vets as they behave beautifully there and allow them to be snipped off. I once snipped a hole in the car so very scared to use scissors round her. She was fine though.

I comb my two longhaired Dcats with a metal comb everyday, so that does help to get rid of a fair bit. My shorthaired Dcat has a very dense white coat and it doesn't matter how many times I comb her, her fur just sticks to everything. I comb her to keep her clean more than expel her fur.

Oh god we used to have a thick coated white haired cat. He was a nightmare! Hair everywhere, mainly on our black school uniforms!
