Does your Dcat have any toys from kittyhood? This is one of mine, now more than 5 years old. Not sure how it's managed to come this far, it gets lost from time to time, but she always finds it and loves it.

This is what it used to look like.

I didn't have him from a kitten, but he got a Santa on a stick this Christmas which he attacked violently on sight, ripping off his hands and feet. He still hates Santa and gives him a good mauling every couple of days!

Poor santa. He looks devastated.

My teenagehood cat had a toy hedgehog. It went everywhere with him for years.
