So I have saved this cat. She had a bad cold, conjunctivitis, swollen eyes (couldn't even open them!)and a very bad health overall. She's 6 months but she weighs only 600 g. However I took her to the vet, she got antibiotics & she's going strong. She's litter trained after 2 days (fuck knows how, never had a cat), has an amazing behaviour and is loving. I was not intending to keep her, but rather to find a home for her, but I started loving her.

Please help me name her. Photo attached :)

Thank you so much people, quite fond of Belle and Opal, though all suggestions are making my life hard here!

Respecting people's wishes, hence here there are more pics (please ignore that she's a bit dirty, couldn't wash her yet as she's been poorly!)

Oh, she's lovely. I'd call her Ottilie if she were mine.

anastasia38494032010 · 21/04/2017 20:13

Also, can please someone brighten me?
Did she learn quick or not too quick to go to the litter tray? Confused here

She looks like a 'Sybil'.

MrsLettuce · 21/04/2017 20:20

vv quick with the tray!

Handsup · 21/04/2017 20:20

mrsBeverley You're choice of names are amazing.

GreenPolishToGo · 21/04/2017 20:23

She learnt to use the litter tray quickly. The PP was just joking that she should look after her instead. Only of course she was wrong because you ought to send the gorgeous tortie to me.

Blerugh · 21/04/2017 20:23

Oh she is beautiful! Anyone else have dreams/nightmares where have to save a litter of poor abandoned kittens? Well done you OP. I think Cleo is perfect for her.

anastasia38494032010 · 21/04/2017 20:26

@mrsBeverleygoldberg I'm litter-ally dying here! Pun not intended.

@Blerugh thanks a lot. I feel like I've done the natural thing to do... then the little shit crawled under my skin and 2 days later I love her to bits!

She is a sweetheart and she's home. I love the name Maude. Dulcie, Flossy, Floella (Flo), Clarissa (Clarrie), Hattie, Daisy.

Re her litter tray. Cats have an instinct when it comes to using them, so you didn't actually train her - sorry, v funny though.

anastasia38494032010 · 21/04/2017 20:31

@Trustyourself2 yes, that's what I said as well, had no freaking clue how to do it. Bought it and then put it there. She did the job! I was shocked though! Oh well, I thought she was a genius. Oh, dear...........

lilyroses · 21/04/2017 20:36

Ohh I love the name "bramble" for her.

Trustyourself2 · 21/04/2017 20:38

You'll be well and truly trained and under the thumb before you know it. Despite her illness, she looks so happy.

Weedsnseeds1 · 21/04/2017 20:38

She could still be a genius, try a "weeble" Dreamies dispenser to find out for sure!
It's true though, they seem to know about litter trays in some sort of hive mind way, they aren't like puppies ( sorry) !

FurryLittleTwerp · 21/04/2017 20:52

Agree, cats instinctively know about litter trays!

When very small, one of mine was trapped in the kitchen & couldn't get to the litter tray in the utility room, so wee'd in an empty box, rather than doing it all over the floor Grin

Wallywobbles · 21/04/2017 21:09

Don't wash her if you can avoid it. Cats and water are a bad mix. There's a thread at the moment on the subject.

I recommend some damp flannels. And a couple of warm towels for after.

Freezingwinter · 21/04/2017 21:11

Beatrice, Pandora, Rebekah, Sassy.

carolinescustard · 21/04/2017 21:16

Penelope. Because Penny is just so cute for a cat too!

carolinescustard · 21/04/2017 21:16

Or... Sable

TroysMammy · 21/04/2017 21:17

Calico, because of her colouring they are called calico cats. Callie as a nickname.

MumBod · 21/04/2017 21:23

My first cat was a tortie. I adored her. I called her Polly.

Your cat is beautiful too.

givemestrengthandgin · 21/04/2017 21:23

Rusty
Einstein as she's a genius
