How can I stop my cat from laying somewhere?

My cat used to sleep in her cat bed most of the time, but a while back she threw up in it and I had to wash the whole thing. Since then she does not want to go in it and is laying on the top of a sofa cushion instead. It is one of the back cushions, and where she is laying ruining that part of the sofa. The back cushion is getting completely misshapen as well as where she claws it as she stretches, the material is getting ruined. I haven't got the money to replace a ruined sofa, and I can't just ignore it.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Try putting her bed through the wash, without any washing powder, then rub/spray a bit of catnip onto it.

Cats will pretty much decide where they sleep though.

Put some double sided tape on it. Put some cushions on it. If there's a window behind the sofa, he probably loves looking out from there.
