Bastard cat seems to be picking loads up this year, any recommendations for preventative treatments? We use advantage for fleas.

No clue - DH took one off the cats chin last week so will watch for tips as well!

I've just been taking them off too but he is in and out so much it would be impossible to check him every time he comes in. Today's was behind the ear, obviously newly acquired as not fat with blood yet. I dread leaving the head behind one of these days.

Bravecto. Does fleas and ticks for 3 months. And an O'Tam tick twister to remove any attached ones. Mine gets loads too as we have a lot of deer in the area.

Thanks I'll look that one up. We're rural too with deer in the woods and other such perfect tick places.

I probably should have said used to get, not does get, loads of ticks! It's expensive, but 3 month rather than 1 for flea cover,so probably cheaper overall.
