Last February my eldest ds went off to Australia.. (sigh..after his last awful relationship I told him to find a nice local girl..so he did..in the local pub where he was playing his guitar, except she was on holiday from Oz!)

Ophie loved him before he went..slept in his room and even tho she was very timid she loved him.

One year later..my darling boy is finally home again (happy and still with Aussie girl who is coming to us in June) He was worried she wouldn't come near him.
He fell asleep. jet-lagged, on the sofa...

She gave him a thorough washing Grin and then settled on his lap!
He's happy... :)

She hasn't forgotten him :)

I've just sat here grinning like a loon after reading your post.

The love between a cat and 'their' human... It's the truest kind! What a beautiful picture.

Aw, how lovely. Brought a lump to my throat. She must really have missed him, bless her. Don't let him go away again - the girlfriend will have to move over here.

Faerie is always furious if ds2 is out...he is her favourite. She miaows loudly round the house just in case he is hiding from her.
It's a rule that you have to tell the cats where you are going and when you will be back.

Ah, the sweetiepie : ) FloofyCat is like that with DH. She follows him around the house and when he's out, always knows when he'll be back - she goes and sits inside the front door a few minutes before he arrives. She'll accept cuddles from other people happily enough but saves her biggest, drooliest purrs for him.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/02/2017 18:50

I wonder if she's thinking well no one else is bothering to lick him so I'll have to.

Vinorosso74 · 16/02/2017 18:55

Aw, that is very sweet.

HemanOrSheRa · 16/02/2017 18:58

Ah. That is just the loveliest thing! What a great photo Smile.

Whenever I stayed with my mother, her personal cats moved to my bed. I thought nothing of it then. 'Then'. She stayed remarkably calm about it.

Of course she remembers him. Smile

This reminds me of our first family cat who would sulk for a week if I went away. Still miss him.

Gorgeous pic OP, and delighted you have your boy home.

This brings me hope. I'm having to live apart from my pair until May. One in particular is very bonded to me, so glad to see that the four months away from them won't do any lasting harm.
