Really fussy cat getting thin

QuestionableMouse · 14/02/2017 20:31

My 9mo kitten is going through a really fussy phase. She used to eat Felix as good as it looks but now won't. I've tried her on:

Gormet tins (little gold tins)
Sheba foil packs
Other varieties of Felix
Whiskers
and probably more than I can remember. She's eating Purina One kitten but she's thinner than I'd like. Had a clean bill of health from the vet less than a month ago and is full of life and energy.

Any ideas what I can try her on next?

Questionable

Does she have a strict feeding routine with good cues? How often is she fed?

cozietoesie · 14/02/2017 20:37

PS - did the vet remark on her weight at all?

QuestionableMouse · 14/02/2017 20:49

Vet didn't mention her weight at all but I think she's too thin- you can feel her ribs/spine/hips. She has dry food down all of the time and I offer wet at tea time.

She's been wormed (tape and round) in the last two weeks.

I think a big part of it is she's more interested in playing than eating!

Consider a raw food diet? We don't but it might be worth looking at. Google it. Warning: some people get a bit obsessed about it.

I don't have space to do a raw food diet. Thank you for the idea though.

All cats eat Dreamies! When my cat won't eat I put a few Dreamies in with his normal food and he scoffs the lot.

QuestionableMouse · 14/02/2017 22:14

She just picks the dreamies out and leaves the rest!

If I wanted to do raw feeding on a small scale, what's a good way to start?
