We lost our wee lass today 😭

We brought home a year old brother and sister late last year, both beautiful wee cats. Our wee lass was hit by a car today. The vet thinks she was dragged underneath the car and then the bastard just drove off and left her.
I took her straight to the vet but her injuries were too severe, it was too much for her to bear.
I posted on here the day I brought her home, so it seems fitting to say goodbye on here too.

Thank you. It was such a shock! I'm still stunned that someone just did that and drove off. They must have felt it. She was a lovely wee cat, a really cuddly wee soul.

I hope you're right cozie I couldn't bear to think of someone just not caring. She didn't deserve that.

Can you cat proof your garden or have a run?

Oh so sorry it's heartbreaking!! She is so cute, bloody inconsiderate drivers, so glad we don't live near a busy road. Really hope your wee boy is ok.

Wolfie I didn't realise you could cat proof gardens, how would I do that?
I think a run wouldn't work because there's so many local cats it would wind them up.
Thanks Lily, unfortunately our wee lad is on the missing list. We've had an appeal out for days, most of our estate and the next estate over have been out looking since Sunday. Apparently he was seen yesterday and wasn't injured (thank God) but didn't want to be picked up. I'm hopeful he'll find his way home soon!

Bumping for someone who knows about cat proofing. Apparently it's possible. Google DIY options or look for a company that can do it for you.

Thanks everyone. It was very odd coming downstairs this morning and it being so quiet.
Wolfie I'll definitely look into that, hopefully Saorcat2 comes home shortly, and I want to keep him safe when he does!
