Runny poo should i keep her nil by mouth?

Its been going on for three days but im at work cant go to the vet til Friday. It stinks like anything. Shes 8 months and fine in herself. Three days ago she managed to get out the flat and quickly found herself a boyfriend in next doors cat. Just mutual cheek to cheek action. Shes had the op. I also tried butchers food for the first time. Indont think its anything sinister but when ingot in from work shes been at least four times today. I cant describe it due to the litter. Shes eaten today and is pawing me now for more but i was going to shut her in the kitchen with nothing but water. Would that be mean?

Feed her and leave water out. Cats can get ill quickly without food. Go back to the pre runny poo food if that wasn't causing problems.

Ive given her more dry and just half a lilys pate ill set the timer in morning and give her three small feeds. I dint kniw if shes drank sonething when she got out or if its the Butchers damn, i thought id found a cheap brand she would eat!

Mine got a few tummy bugs when they started going outside. They kept eating everything they "hunted" ... mostly flies.

I brought them to the vet each time to check on their hydration. One needed to be kept in on a drip because she became dehydrated.

Definitely get yours to the vets to check on hydration. They might give her some meds if it's a tummy bug.. hopefully that's all it is :)

Her nose is wet and she is peeing so i dont think we are there. The smell is horrific though.

Vets don't recommend not feeding when cats have diarrhea, I believe. (Where's Lone (a vet) gone? Hope she's OK)

New food should be phased in gradually, not an immediate changeover.

Bring some poo, (hers' obvs.) in a zip-lock bag/container to the vets as soon as you can get an appointment. Mix cooled boiled water in with her wet food, to ensure she's properly hydrated in the meantime.

Sorry if that was garbled OP, bit unwell myself - but just to clarify, vets recommend you carry on feeding even when a cat has a runny bum.

Thanks she only went once over night I've had to come to work now but we've had a good play session she's fine in herself. Won't see her til tonight but I've halved what I usually give her and split it into small meals and left the dry stuff. I'm off tomorrow so will try and sort it then.
