Lost Kitten :(

Hold my hand ladies. Our 6 month old kitten Mo disappeared out of the front door last night while we were bringing in a mountain of Christmas presents. It is the first time he has been anywhere other than the back garden (has never showed remote interest in going out the front door) and he didn't come home last night.
FB covered and vet called. We are taking turns out looking for him. Our DD is distraught.

PS - is he neutered, chipped, vaccinated and all those good things?

Mine went missing aged 7 months a couple of years ago, he reappeared at 3am a few days later none the worse for wear - possibly had been shut in somewhere we think as he was dry & smelt musty. Try going out late at night with a tin of treats to rattle - it's quieter and you might hear him mewing. Thoughts are with you, it is very upsetting and almost impossible to know where to start looking.

Going out with a torch whilst rattling treats/calling helps. The light reflects in their eyes. Try shining under cars, he probably got spooked and is hunkered down somewhere... Unless he's not been neutered, which would mean widening your search.

Hi all. Still no sign of him . Our daughter is in bits bless her. I have just finished work and been out for another look but no luck.
He is chipped, vaccinated and neutered. I didn't think he would roam too far.
I did become the pied piper of cats in my walk round just now with my bag of food but I found three and none were him.
I didn't expect to feel so awful. I spend a lot of my life falling over him and telling him off for being under my feet or scratching the sofa. Two weeks before Christmas as well .
