Cat can't eat

Our cat has a cut mouth after a scrap. It happened on Friday night; the bleeding has stopped and there's no infection as far as I can tell; his mouth is still sore though and he hasn't eaten since. We've tried using water to loosen the food and scrambled eggs, but he couldn't eat either. Any advice for what else we can try?

Whiskas cat soup is lovely. My cat licks up the soup and leaves the meaty bits. Definitely worth a try.

I would probably take him to the vet as he may be getting dehydrated. Or try tinned pilchards!

I'd go to the vet,our vet would give antibiotics for a cut like that.

Vets. Loss of use of an area due to pain is a sign of infection.

Thank you for quick responses. I've booked him in with the vet for later today and will look for cat soup while I'm there!

Mine was the same last week, but didn't know why he wasn't eating although looked in pain. Turned out it was a cut too. He was given pain killers and antibiotics (injections and then follow on medication) within a couple of days he was able to eat properly again. Pilchards worked a treat to get him to eat for the first couple of days.
