Yep, Sunday Snuggles here too.

She's not happy though as she has a fractured pelvis. So she is literally on 'bed rest'.

No catching bunnies or mice for a while and she's hating it

Poor baby!

Sunday afternoon snooze with a cuddlesome cat - there's very little to beat it.

Lord of the manor is in his favourite spot, we are all poorly today so cuddles are very welcome.

I just have to say 'Snooze' to my boys and they're heading up the stairs. (That's if they're not already in bed, waiting impatiently. )

They don't necessarily watch you quite as intently as a dog (we have collies from working stock) because they're a bit too self-centred - but they do understand things.

That boy of mine is almost 14 and comes on walks with me and the dog. This will out me but he waits outside the local shop for me when I go in. He is bloody brillant.

Hah! The Lodger used to come into local small shops when I was there. We used to sneak out of the house - but it never seemed to work.

Fatty asleep on MY favourite cushion and Snorgmaiden asleep and snoring in her new bed! Fatty is taking up 3/4 of the sofa!

We had milk paddling on my chest this morning under the covers. It really hurt but he's not well so I took the pain.

Maud, only got it yesterday from a cat show. Her sister has also taken a shine to it, which is unusual for her as she likes her/ my green cushion. She now has a custom made cushion on order. And I am now broke! It's from a company called Lazy Days pet beds.

We don't know fluffy. She goes in farmers fields with horses most of the time so we have no idea how she's done it. I'd have though a horse kick would be fatal for her but we just don't know what's happened.

She's still in the same position as 24 hours ago at the bottom of my bed!

Have you tried lifting her out and taking her to her tray/feeding station? She might be getting a wee bit desperate by now if she hasn't moved so far.

Yes I carry her to the litter tray and food / water bowl every few hours. Then I carry her back to bed where she stays .

Think she's just feeling very sorry for herself. She won't play with anything but will happily sit there and be brushed and cuddled. She's just a sad puss at the mo.

Is she on pain meds for her fracture?

She is. But it's only a once a day dose so it doesn't seem a lot / enough to me. The fracture went through a joint so vet said said she'd get arthritis when she's older which is sad. But she's only 2 so I'm hoping she heals quickly and gets back out there.

Odds are that she'd develop arthritis anyway if she reached an appropriate age - a huge majority of cats do to one degree or the other. (My own boy has severe arthritis now but then he's most elderly.)

You could always give the vet a buzz and have a quick word about her meds. Maybe they're not happy to supplement them for a short period - but maybe they are. The only other thing I can suggest is to give her a good heat source to comfort her towards sleep.I'd switch on the electric blanket in the day - if you have one - or consider a snuggled up hottie. She's a young cat so recovery shouldn't be too long.

We had a cat that had a fractured pelvis as a youngster and had it played she died aged 18 and never had arthritis. So fingers crossed.

The vet said we could split the dose cozie so we'll give one in the morning and one at night. Thanks for the suggestion!
