I have 2 lovely cats. I treat them every month with advantage. The last 2 weeks everytime the cats go out when they come in they are dead or dying ( hoping they are dying as they can't jump easy to catch and acting peculiar) do you think the advantage is doing the job and am safe or do I need to do more. My house seems fine like I said it seems to be everytime they come in from outside.

It's the same here atm. When you apply the advantage how so you do it? The vet told me to apply in 4 or 5 areas at base of the skull not in one spot.

I've not seen any in the house but have been washing everything at 60!

A flea comb is very satisfyingWink

That's how we apply the advantage. Same here with the washing and hoovering constantly. I blooming hate them. We have combed them though several times dh has been doing them at least once a day everything that comes off the cats is either dying or dead.

I think it's working then. Apparently there are loads around this year. Have you sprayed your house with Indorex jut in case? Are you washing the pet bedding? I'm washing every other day atm!!

Amithenormalone · 13/10/2016 17:59

Yes was everything I can and I have sprayed the house with a spray vet gave me can't remember the name. I am confident the house is fine as no one's been biten lol. I read a news article about it being bad this year just never really got how bad it was lol.

You could try advocate with an additional program injection to prevent infestation.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 13/10/2016 18:00

The cold will kill them off soon !

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 13/10/2016 18:01

Fluffy - how much is the programme injection? I'm tempted to go for that for peace of mind.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/10/2016 18:27

£35. It's flea contraceptive so he still needs his spot on.

Ok, thanks. That's pretty reasonable, will talk to the vet.
