What age to share beds with children

My cats are desperate to get into my 3 year olds bed at night. Is this wrong or should I allow it? They aren't allowed in our bedroom because they wake us up.

3yo is old enough surely? It's big enough to move when the cats pushes their head off the pillow at 2am.
