Intoducing two siblings after a six month gap can it work?

I live in a flat with my little cat. We are in a routine. My friend took her sister. They are in a routine. Shes much more of a handful than mine but in a good way. Im losing a flatmate ans my friend needs a place to live. Could it work? Where would we start?

I would introduce them as if they were new to each other I.e keeping them in separate rooms to begin with, swapping scented blankets etc building up to meeting.

That being said, a few years ago I adopted a cat (one of three brought in together) from a rescue centre. Six months later, one of the cats was still at the rescue without a home so being the sucker I am adopted her too. Despite the 6 month separation they became very close very quickly, cat number 2 can be quite grumpy/ defensive with other cats but always got on well with cat 1 so I do wonder if they remembered each other.

It's A lot to think about financially it would make sense and it would mean no going on holiday stress. However it's a two bedrooms flat and I do t know if I could face two litter trays etc.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they remembered each other a bit. After all, many cats remember people. Why not other cats?

So they would have one each. Do you think it's easier if their slaves are both living together. I guess it's like couples meeting with one cat each
