Kitten has a lump after being microchipped!

It's around the size of a marble in between his shoulder blades, it doesn't seem to be hurting him or irritating him. Just wondering if this is common? He did bleed a little at the vets after he had it done (he had it done on tue), and it was quite a big needle. Should I leave it a few days to see if it goes away or should I take him back to the vet?

I would say his skin is a bit irritated

Those needles are large! Bit of swelling is normal

If it doesn't go down in a couple of days take him back

I just thought I'd add that once the swelling has gone down, you may be able to feel the microchip - that's normal. It should only be the size of a grain of rice, though.

Thanks for the replies, I'll leave it then until next week, if it's still as swollen I'll take him back to the vet. At least he doesn't seem bothered on in pain with it.
