Is it possible that we would ever be approved by a rescue? DH and I are experienced cat owners and have had 'challenging' cats before (one with a degenerative sight condition and a very elderly one). We are currently without a cat as our lovely elderly lady preferred to stay with our lovely elderly neighbours when we moved last year.
We do currently have: a dog and two children, all of whom arrived after the previous cat so she had come to a quiet, adult only house. We also work full time. I don't think that any of this means we couldn't provide a suitable home for the right cat, but a quick look through rescue sites suggests differently.
Are we unlikely to get approved and should we look elsewhere (where? I don't want to support kitten farming or BYB).
