Fuck buggering fleas!!! Has anyone used this bomb?

Looks like poor kitty cat is getting another bath because he was treated on the 14th :( the problem is the house. Our Hoovers fucked and barely sucks stuff up so going to have to get some flea bombs (mostly because he's been all around the house now and there's furniture we can't move to spray/ Hoover under or behind..) So has anyone used these bombs or have any recommendations for me? We've got a very tight budget and need to get 6/7 (4 average size, 1 hallway and stairs and a tiny utility room) rooms done with a budget of about £30. I feel so awful for Him he's only 4 months old and came to us last month riddled with them... He must be so sick of being itchy , poor little thing he's had 4 weeks of his whole life where he hasn't had them :(

What are you treating him with? Tried Indorex on house? (If ok with a kitten!)

Wolf he's got broad line, but we can't afford indorex atm, from the vets it's nearly £20 a can and the vet said 1 can did 1 room... But I was thinking a bomb would get all the bits we couldn't get to to spray?

Should add we can't really afford the Internet price for indorex either

We don't let our cats in all bedrooms. Not sure a can does a room. Sounds a bit of a rip off TBH. If broad line doesn't work try something different? Advocate here.

Indorex is only about £11 on Amazon. A can did our whole two bedroomed house with some left over. Unless you have sports hall sized rooms then it should be ok.

Indorex on amazon is £12 a can. On your budget that would do it and I'd rely more on that than bombs.

Bombs didn't work for us. Acclaim/Indorex did the trick. But yes it is expensive.

Bombs are a waste of money.
Acclaim will do a whole 4 bed house (and car if kitty has been in it).

You will need to sort a Hoover out (beg borrow or steal!) though to Hoover up the dead ones and by hoovering daily after application the vibrations stimulates the eggs so all will be killed.
Horrid problem to deal with but you will get there

Just make sure you don't spray if you have fish reptiles or birds.
Give the rooms a good spray, leave for a few hours (including with kitty) then open windows and Hoover.
If kitty doesn't go out yet shut him upstairs while do downstairs routine then next day swap over with upstairs.

Only thing that worked for us was indorex.
We ended up using about 4 cans for our 4 bed house, but we had a really bad infestation.
Letting your treated cat go in all the rooms will help too as they'll jump on the cat, bite and then die.
A bomb is a waste of money, best to spend it on a can of indorex and try and do worst rooms with it.

Yes I've used them but we used it with indorex and I literally washed everything at 60! It tools me ages !! Days !! Bastard things they are , I'm so careful with my de fleaing now and although it's expensive they are so hard to get rid of once you have them it's worth it . We set the bomb and left the house for a few hours .. be careful if you have fish it will kill them . Obvs get all animals out the house .

Thanks for replies, can't afford a new Hoover at min but It works slightly better with the nozzle than just pushing it around but if I can get one off someone else I will. Will try acclaim I think because I don't want to spend much. I could get a can of spray and a 2/4 pack of bombs because there's lots of furniture I can't move or spray under and the cats been under. I hate fuckin fleas. Could have avoided all this if the woman we got him off had flead her dog 😡😡 last I heard you could see them jumping out of the carpet... Boak

Oh yes , clean out your Hoover ! They get everywhere.. if it's a dyson you can take the whole thing apart and wash it .

I'm a bit worried that you keep saying you can't afford flea spray. Is your cat insured? They can need sudden and expensive vet help. And what about jabs and neutering?

OP I'm sorry but you're going to have to spend money to sort this. Pets cost money. I agree with wolfie, it's worrying you can't spend £11 on a can of indorex to treat this. Why did you get a cat if things are so tight?

My friend has just spent £1,200 getting rentokil in to sort out fleas
I'm paranoid our puppy might have them, got the vet to check her yesterday (she does have flea prevention every month), vet said no sign of fleas. But I'm still not convinced

That was going to be our next step if I couldn't get rid of them but I did. My biggest regret is my dear cat had a stroke and died whilst I was trying to fix the problem and he was in the vet with fleas . I hated myself for not caring for him properly( I obviously did care for him properly but the bastard fleas got to them when I was a smidge late with the anti flea stuff ) and allowing him to get them .. I loved him so much and felt like I let him down

Jessie my dear old girl had a flea problem when she had to be put to sleep aged 18, we has treated her but I think in her old age she couldn't seem to shake them off. She left us with a flea problem as there was no host. We have luckily now got rid of them with a combined attack of spraying, washing, hoovering, and most of all a new cat who was treated and has become our flea killer! She has also had the program injection so any biting flea becomes infertile.
Don't feel bad about your old cat having fleas, its such a common problem and apparently they have been really bad this year. I apologised to the vet who had to put her to sleep as you could see them on her, he said cats and fleas have been together forever so not to worry. Made me feel a bit better.

The cats not insured as I've not got it sorted yet and I can afford the spray if 1 can does the whole house, but I wouldn't be able to afford 2/3 cans, plus another Hoover. I've paid nearly £150 in the last 2 months trying to get rid of the horrible little bastards and if I'd have known that the cat was going to be literally riddled with fleas after supposedly being flead and wormed I'd not have got him!!! Love him to bits but I've had pets for the last 10 years and never had fleas once. So I've never dealt with this before. I bleached the floors downstairs, threw his bedding and the cushions downstairs and boil washed everything in the house that I could, hoovered all the carpets and they've still managed to come back? So I'm just assuming that the bits I couldn't get to like under the beds and cupboards upstairs and the book cases and behind the fridge is were where they were hiding. Which is why I thought a bomb would be good instead of spray coz the smoke would get everywhere. Just really annoyed that because one person is happy to sell animals that are flea infested, full of worms and really not very happy at all I'm having to spend money to fix a problem that's really hard and expensive to fix.

The spray doesn't kill the chrysalis stage of the flea life cycle. So you have to repeat the whole hoovering, washing, spraying cycle a couple of weeks after the first go. Hoovering will make the chrysalis hatch, then you need to spray etc to kill them.
You might be lucky and find a hoover on somewhere like Freecycle if you put a Wanted post up?
