What food does your kitten go mad for?

Adopted 2 boy kittens in March, fed them
On whiskas kitten which is what they had at their foster home.

Absolutely loved it for a few months then stopped eating it. Fine, we moved on to Felix kitten. Again absolutely loved it and still do really, but refuse to eat the lamb, beef and now for some reason, the chicken ones.

Happy to get them just the fish ones but they seem to be out of stock wherever we try, so if we get the mixed ones, we end up passing on half the sachets. Can anyone recommend any other kitten food? They are now 6 months

Seniorboy won't touch fish flavours! Have you any neighbours you could do a Jack Sprat with?

PS - how old are they now?

It took us a lot of trial and error to find a food that madam will eat consistently

She would have one lot and then turn her nose up when offered again

She has happily been having gourmet gold in gravy for nearly a month now. Loves it

She'll love it until someone has a special offer and you bulk buy - then she'll likely walk off in disdain!

Don't jinx me woman!!!!

Whiskas and Felix and most pet food you can buy in the supermarket is very poor quality. Cats are obligate carnivores, they are supposed to eat meat, but cat food sold by the major brands typically has a very low meat content.

We give our cats high quality food with a high meat content, a mixture of wet and dry. They originally had Nature's Menu but they went off it so now they have Lily's Kitchen (1/2 tray each per day). We top up with Orijen dry food. There are other good quality brands but those are the ones our cats like! The food is more expensive than the bog standard stuff, but you can get good deals online, you need less of it (because it's more nutritious) and the cats are in excellent health. Their coats are beautiful.

Our cats will only eat Lily's Kitchen Luscious Lamb Dinner - they don't like the other flavours

Orijin Cat and Kitten (dry) seems to be the flavour of the month here. Now to figure out what to do with the half a sack of Applaws...

Mcat likes Animonda Rafine Soupe, and Little M gets Gourmet Cat Soup, mainly for water content, as he prefers dry.

After thinking Butchers Classic was The Best Thing Ever, they now hate it.
