Is four cats too many?

I recently had to get my very much loved cat PTS. This left us with one old cat ( his litter brother) and I was worried that he would be lonely as he's never been on his own. In a moment of madness I went to the cat and dog home and brought home a kitten. Everyone adores her and oldcat after a day of spitting at her came round and mostly just ignores her. He has infact perked up quite a bit since she came and is thriving on her kitten food...

I then decided to push my luck a bit and get another kitten to keep her company, again this has worked well and they entertain each other whilst leaving oldcat to sleep. So far so good...

The problem I have is that I spent a lot of time looking for the second kitten and one of the ones I almost went for is still available, and I have this urge to get it too. Is this asking for trouble?

He knows then. Livery doesn't come cheap.

And she needs to have a long hard look at what she's doing, I think.

Own fields luckily! Yes he definitely knows but I think he just pretends he doesn't
She events so generally has a fair few anyway, all v v well cared for. Occasionally sells maybe 5/6/7 but then gains back when she is offered something interesting

Well he's gone Sad Left messages and filled in form, and now he's disappeared from the site. Looks like it wasn't meant to be.

Your next cat will come along even if that one wasn't meant to be. Smile

So excited!! Got an e-mail to say that the rehoming had fallen through, so he was available again. Went to meet him last night and loved him. Going to pick him up on Saturday.

Meant to be, then. Smile

Thanks cozie. Hope my other cats think so too Wink

I know I'm very late to the party, but I can see there aren't many cat threads here. My own view is that you can't have enough cats - although they do need to be introduced to each other gradually!

Got a bit of a funny question: I have a work colleague who LOVES and ADORES cats. And I saw a lovely cat mug on Ebay that made me laugh and thought it would be a great Xmas present for her.

Then I thought about it perhaps a bit too much and wondered if it might be offensive?

The fact is, there are scratch marks on her sofa and cat toys everywhere - might she think I am criticising the state of her home? Please, please tell me if I am being silly or if I am right to be cautious.

I liked it enough to get it for myself as I love Catty Catty - and my hubbie laughed his head off - but it COULD be seen as somewhat of a diss about a person's home?

Would YOU be offended?

Heck, No. Smile

Sedgewick · 08/10/2018 18:48

Thank god!

Hubbie told me I was being paranoid, and that I shouldn't be buying pressies for people who don't have a sense of humour - but you know how house proud people can be!

Well that's me sorted in terms of my handful of cat loving friends - just the other 80% of friends who AREN'T cat lovers left to buy pressies for....

I do find Christmas shopping so stressful. Counting down the days until 26th December!! Grin

My DM bought me a mug that says 'things taste better with cat fur'. I wasn't remotely offended!

Sedgewick · 08/10/2018 19:40

Oh my god, my clothes get absolutely COVERED with cat fur! That's another mug I need in my life!

I use one of those sticky roller things on my clothes but a few times I've forgotten and people have felt the need to comment on my furriness!

Ha ha. I love that!

cozietoesie · 08/10/2018 21:11

Just as well. (What are you at now - 25 is it?)

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 08/10/2018 21:14

I wear my furriness with pride! Even the inside of my car is furry and he's only been in it a few times in his carrier.

Here's the mug!

I LOVE that mug! I've seen it before on Ebay/Amazon.

I thought about getting it for my colleague (and a Cat Lady option) but because they've been around for years I knew there was a strong possibility that she'd already have it!

At least with "Mew Like Nice Things? Scratch That!" it's recent (well, I'd not seen it before and I LOVE Catty Catty) so she hopefully doesn't have it.

What do we think about Simon's Cat mugs? I'm quite fond of the cheeky fellow! I love their cartoons but do wish they came out more often!

But then...I'd never get anything done...

MrsCatE · 10/10/2018 04:18

Toomany did you get other kitten? Also, how did you get away for so long without any pics?!
