Here's my little man in all his gummy glory!

He's better served for lower back teeth than I thought he would be. Smile

How's he doing?

Puffinity · 01/09/2016 21:01

Did he lose his teeth to old age? And on a somewhat related note: does anyone actually brush their cats' teeth? I was a bit Hmm when I read in a leaflet from the vets' I was supposed to. Vet didn't mention it when I took PuffinCat for her first appointment either.

Aww that's so cute. I love cat mouths. One of mine has a pink palate with a black half moon behind her front teeth. I love it on the very rare occasions she yawns.

We had a kitten when I was a teenager and got given a free sample of cat tooth paste and a brush. He tolerated it well.

Same here cozie - this is the first time I've really seen! He seems to be doing fine, although I noticed in the picture his gum looks a bit red. I'll keep an eye on it, as much as I can.

Puffinity, he lost his teeth earlier this year after he had a dental infection and a broken jaw. It was awful seeing him like it.

I know some people clean their cats' teeth but I value my hands too much to try! He may have lost a lot of teeth but the little stubby ones are sharp and he has claws and isn't afraid to use them!

We also have a cat that has random black patterns in his mouth, just like his face.

I have never wanted to try and brush a cats teeth....oh no

Ah, what a cute little gummy bear!

I give mine Logic pet toothpaste. It comes with a rubber finger cot with nobbly bits on it, so you can brush their teeth if they'll tolerate it, but you can just let them lick it off your finger if they like the taste. The enzymes do the work.

Little M loves the taste of it, but I have to smear it on MCat's gums, because he wouldn't be doing with teeth brushing. When I tried to actually brush Little M's teeth with it, most ended up smeared around his face.

I brush them. Not every single day without fail, but I try for at least every other day. I've trained them to it since they were small. I wouldn't say they like it, but they tolerate it and it only takes a minute.
