Does my cat need to see a vet?

My 2 year old cat has been making sneezing type noises accompanied by shaking her head over the past two days. Sounds a bit like she is going to be sick but don't think she has been. I've not found any sick any way! She is eating and sleeping normally. What might this be and should I take her to get?
TIA

Worms can sometimes cause coughing /sick making noises.
Had she been wormed recently?

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/08/2016 16:51

I would take her. It's not normal behaviour.

She is due to be wormed soon and did bring home a mouse this week so that could be a possibility. Thanks

Definitely vet. The mouse could have been poisoned.

Could also be a sinus infection, somebody recently posted on here about their cat who's broken tooth was piercing his nasal cavity.

Cats are very good at concealing pain/discomfort.

Could also be a blade of grass up the nose. My cat managed to do this twice!

Ice queen is right blade of grass behind the soft palate is incredibly common.

One of mine does this on average once a day. The vets are not concerned about it. And I suspect she's coughing up a hair all and swallowing it down again I e never had a single hairball from either of them and they are long haired. She does have issues with breathing due to her tiny nose so wonder if it's also related to that.
