Stressed? Ill?

Boycat1 has been acting oddly for a while, he meows constantly if he is walking around the house, although he does settle down and sleep. He is eating and drinking as normal but he has started weeing in corners occasionally, just small patches rather than a full wee, it's not that often but it's unusual for him. He doesn't seem like a happy cat and it's worrying me because I love the whiny little git. Any suggestions? I've sprayed feliway all over the place to see if it helps. I don't think he is poorly but I think I might take him for a check up.

Forgot to mention, we moved house 3 months ago, that's all that has changed recently but I wonder if it's something to do with the house.

Girlcat and boycat2 are fine.

If he is normally toilet trained and now weeing in corners he could have urinary problems. When my cat peed on a carrier bag I had dropped, and left, on the floor there was blood in it. Straight to the vets and he had struvite crystals in his bladder. Medication and special food for life. Sadly he was knocked down and killed when he was 3.

So I would take your puss to the vets as he is in discomfort.

I was typing when you mentioned the move. They said it could be brought on by stress. I don't know what Barnaby was stressed about but as I believe his parents were brother and sister it could have been a genetic thing. It was probably also the reason his brother Troy died from heart failure 3 months ago at the age of 5.

We know nothing about his background, he was a rescue cat, found alone at about 4 weeks old and taken to the rescue. He is 3. I will get him to the vets as planned.

My cat wees in the house when he is sick. He suffers from kidney infections.
This morning he did a big wee on the beanbag (why is it always the bean bag??) but I think that is stress/temper/depression. He has had a cone collar on for the last week because he has a sore spot on his belly.

My cat started doing this recently and he's very much a senior citizen so I was concerned as he's never done it in 17 years. Before I made a vet apt, I caught dd (5) teaching him to 'walk'. He's very fluffy and he had had something in his fur that couldn't be brushed out meaning I had to shave him poor boy so I already had my suspicions but I found her holding him up and walking him along on his back legs. He was doing the spraying in dd's bedroom - his way of trying to tell me? Now she's stopped torturing him and I bought him a new deluxe litter tray for upstairs we're back to normal.

The vet would always be my first port of call but check nothing's going on you don't know about. Dd was ashamed of herself - blaming Beatrix Potter of course. Cat is too gentle for his own good and won't even scratch her.
