Cats and post

I need some help, I've noticed that my cat has got into the habit of playing with the post. Occasionally bringing it upstairs, chewing it and hiding it under the bed.

Someone has just tried to deliver a leaflet through the door and she's just gone for the poor lad's hand so I think she may be doing it to the postman as well.

I yelled at her and stopped her this morning but I'm not at home to stop her during the week. I don't think I can get a metal wire rack as the post box is on the bottom of the door and they all seem to fit doors which have letter boxes in the middle of the door.

Has anyone got a solution?

Outside post box?
Beware of the cat sign? Grin

An outside post box is a good idea.
I presume you can't restrict her access to the front door?

There was a newspaper article a couple of months back about a cat called Bella doing this in in Bristol, with the Royal Mail telling the owners to restrain her if they wanted to continue having letters delivered!
My cat has pulled leaflets, letters and free papers through before, but I don't think has gone for anyone's fingers - yet.

A post catcher box thing on the inside of your letter box?
