MCat's due for a dental (tartar build-up) first thing tomorrow. I let them both stay out a little longer than usual, because I was faffing in the garden.

Realise only Little Monsieur was inside, so cue mad cat lady shuffling around the streets in her slippers, madly waving Dreamies and his Loc8tor receiver. It shows he's in the area, but obviously has other things on his mind - he likes the ladies, despite lacking balls. And he's not lying injured, because the location keeps moving.

I've been out 3 times tonight, so the only solution I can think of is to move a litter tray and food into the front room, and leave the flap set to "In only" and shut the kitchen door where the flap is. Little Monsieur can hook open the flap when it's set to in only, that's why I have to keep the kitchen door shut.

I just know I won't sleep until I hear the sound of the flap opening, and my big bottomed B&W boy sauntering in.

If anyone's reading this, please tell him to gtf home.

Recently when my boy was due to have his shots I rattled his sweetie box, which invariably has him running. However this time he looks me straight in the eye and turns tail and jumps up on top of the wardrobe where it's impossible for me to retrieve him! Had to call and postpone the appointment. He's never done that before.

I feel terrible, Cozie. Usually when I'm pottering in the garden, both of them are with me.

And yes Benedikte2, he's begun to eye treats with suspicion.

I've heard that anti-depressants can be prescribed for cats now? He's not been the same since DH died, who was his "person".

I just hope he 's OK... I have a bad feeling. Taking positive thoughts from Hollinhurst's thread, and being re-united with Ollie.

Little bugger, he sauntered in at 3am. Re-booked his dental for tomorrow.

Indeed he is. I can't face the shame of ringing the poor vet and telling them I lost my cat. Again.

And the bugger's lost his expensive collar and tag. Again. So more waving the receiver about like a mad woman, to see if I can find it. It's a lovely collar, made in the colours of Tom Baker's Dr. Who scarf, with a tiny Tardis charm on it. Clearly not a sci-fi fan...

That was probably the reason for the 'saunter'. It took him that long to get shot of it.

Grrr, had a horrible morning. As soon as I woke up, MCat took one look at me and he knew I was planning to take him in for his dental he missed tomorrow.

Cue big scared eyes (mine and his - he can be vicious), hiding, me leaping about the house attempting to catch him with a towel. I triumphed, and managed to stuff him into his carrier. After smacking my cheekbone on the back of the sofa, which is forming into a fairly decent bruise.

The G.A. and tartar removal went fine, no extractions (good for him and my CC) and I can pick him up at 5.

There will be the Big Sulk - 2 vet's appointments within a week...

He'll probably start his own sad thread about his cruel treatment meted out by Mantra, and the consensus will be LTB!

I've only just seen this - I'm glad he got on OK and kept all his teeth.

I've had to phone the vet a couple of times to say we've lost Harry. They know somethings up! I was supposed to take George, my Mum's cat, to the vet last year. The appointment was cancelled after he kicked the door off the cat carrier and I ended up with blood running down my arms...

Glad he is doing well and no extractions. Bless our little girl, she only has a couple of teeth left but does her best. Sadly she was in a bad we when we took her on. She does try to gum us occasionally though!

He's got the check up on Friday.

I'm really not going to be in his goodbooks. At least it's an afternoon appointment, so I won't have to get up at the crack of dawn to wrangle him into his carrier.

It's quite funny, seeing this big bruiser of a cat, who used to kill stoats, turn into a jellyfish on the examination table. He can't even stand without assistance, his legs are so jellified.

Little M flirts with the vet too! He has a good old wander about, sits in the sink expecting the tap to be switched on. After his "man parts", were removed he was waving his little curly paws through the bars of his cage, demanding attention off anyone who passed. Must be those Si genes!

MCat's still avoiding me as if I'm the Devil incarnate. After his check-up tomorrow...well let's just say I'm not looking forward to the Mahoosive Sulk. He's more of an angsty, sensitive type. Like Ian Curtis re-incarnated.
