Am I overreacting?

Read something on another thread that horrified me. Someone had poured (cold) cooking oil on a cat as a deterrent. Is this a thing? Surely not. I think it's very cruel and the thought of someone doing that to one of mine or any cat made me so cross. Do I need to get a grip?

No, but I would highly recommend hiding and not reading any cat and garden thread that isn't in The Litter Tray.

I agree with Foxes.

Realistically it won't harm them but I wouldn't be impressed that someone threw cooking oil over my cat because she went in their garden.

Foxes, I shall take your advice.

I used to get in a terrible state reading them. Got so worried out my cat. He's a litter tray refuser, I know he uses my garden but obviously I can't be sure he only uses mine. Now I just hide them - less scared.
